Description of work with field recording
What mainly interests me are the stories that can be told through the soundscapes of everyday life. My 23 minute work 'Soundscape Nicosia' explores the changes on Nicosia's soundscape, reflecting the changes in people's habits, beliefs, culture and general way of living. I am also using field recordings as raw material for creating abstract sound works or environments in installations. Moreover I am a collector of existing sounds or sounds that are about to vanish, and collector of sounds from my travelling.
