Born in 1975, Francisco Meirino is active since 1994 (as \"phroq\" until 2009) in soundart and live performance. Francisco Meirino explores the tension between programmable material and the potential for its failure, his music is a complex and constantly changing electronic soundscape that is fascinating by its physical intensity and detail precision. He works mainly with the computer, magnetic fields detectors, piezo transducers, field recorders, and various acoustic devices. More than 150 live performances in various venues and festivals in Europe, Japan and North America. More than 30 records released on labels such as Misanthropic Agenda, Antifrost, Entracte, Groundfault, Banned Productions, Even Stilte, Echomusic etc... and on his own label : Shiver Sounds He lives and works in Lausanne, Switzerland.

For his records and live performance he is constantly searching new sounds, mainly on-site testimonies, electronic+electromagnetic sounds & field recordings but he is primarily interested in the idea of recording what is not supposed to be : gear failures, the death of a PA systems, electro-static background noises and voltage errors.
