The Finnish Society Of Bioart, established May 2008 in Kilpisjärvi, is an organisation supporting, producing and creating activities around art and natural sciences, especially biology.

Since 2010 The Finnish Society Of Bioart is organizing an artist-in-residency program together with the Kilpisjärvi Biological Station of the University of Helsinki in the sub-Arctic Lapland.
The residency has an emphasis on the Arctic environment and art and science collaboration. It is is open for artists and art&science research teams.
